President’s Day – a day set aside for our country to honor the men who have led our nation – a day to remember the freedom of being a democracy where we can choose our leader – but for most people, it’s a day off work!
The weather here in NoVa has been unseasonably warm, so after sleeping in, sipping coffee and making a grocery run, we spent the afternoon taking in the sunshine and blue skies!
One of Watson’s favorite place in all of Virgina (or so I’d like to imagine) is the Virginia State Arboretum. Not too much is in bloom yet; after all, it is still just February. However, the wide open spaces, tall trees and blue skies were enough for today.
We did a whole lot of nothing…but I think we did it quite well!
