I feel like I always slack on Thursday…when it comes to blogging that is. I’m not sure why, but I’m always fresh out of ideas by the time Thursday rolls around. So if you’ll indulge me…I’m going to ramble a little bit today…
I’ve been thinking a lot this week about friendship – spurred on by the end of one relationship (it would be wrong to call said relationship a “friendship”) and reminded that I’ve been blessed with so many wonderful and true friends.
There is a quote that says people enter your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime and I have two very dear friends that I have known and been friends with for my lifetime – and something tells me they will both continue to be a part of my life for years to come.
I have also been blessed with an abundance of friends since I moved to Virginia and I can tell you with certainty that these friends will be for the long haul too. Friends are so important – everyone wants to find companionship; someone to help bear their burdens and share their joys and friends – true friends do just that.
My heart is a little heavy today – because of the above; however, my heart is brightened to realize that I know what a true friend is because I have many of them. And so in the grand scheme of things there is nothing really to count as loss when I am already so blessed.
Oh yea – sisters can totally be friends… And sometimes you have to substitute a picture of your friend’s kids because they aren’t ever in pictures with you, ha-ha!
